A patio cover is a great extension of your patio, but how do you make sure it also matches the style your home? In this blog, we provide some helpful tips that will help you avoid a mismatch.
Match your architectural style with your canopy
The first step in choosing a patio cover is to look at your architectural style. Does your home have a modern look with lots of glass and a minimalist feel? Then a Cube canopy is the perfect match. With its sleek design and completely flat roof, it fits perfectly with the contemporary architectural style of your home.
Is your home rather rural? Then it is best to choose a wooden patio cover. The warm material provides a rustic look that perfectly matches the characterful style of your home.
The importance of using color
A canopy can fit your home perfectly in terms of design, but the color is also very important. At TerrasPro, you can choose from a variety of colors and materials to match different house types. For example, anthracite or black works well with modern houses with dark windows or white facades. Do you live in a home with red bricks, light plaster or wooden accents? Then warm tones such as beige or sand are often more beautiful.
Choose the right blinds for your home
It's not just the appearance of your patio cover that counts; usage also plays a big role. That's why awnings are often a must during hot summers! This way you can enjoy your patio, without sitting huffing and puffing in your garden furniture. At TerrasPro we offer different types of awnings, so we can always guarantee a perfect match with your canopy.
- ZIP blinds: screens that can repel heat or sunlight on glass walls.
- Sun protection in your patio canopy: awning mounted at the top of your canopy to block direct sunlight.
- Awning: canopy you can roll out when sunlight hits your patio.
A patio canopy really comes into its own when it feels like it was always there. Match your canopy to your architectural style, use colors that recur in your home and choose awnings that match the atmosphere you want to create.
