Roofing

Terrace covers are the ideal way to enjoy your garden or the outdoors. With sturdy roofing sheets, your patio cover will remain as beautiful for years. The roof panels are available in different materials.

TerrasPro offers you a choice of four types of roof plate. Each type is 98 cm wide.

  • Clear polycarbonate
  • Opal polycarbonate
  • IQ Relax Polycarbonate
  • Glass

All polycarbonate roof sheets are manufactured by the Makrolon manufacturer Bayer. Those who prefer glass can use our quality glass roofing.

Polycarbonate roof panels

The polycarbonate sheets have a honeycomb structure (XS). This structure, in combination with the thickness of 16mm, provides your patio cover with unparalleled strength. As a result, your patio cover can easily withstand a large amount of snow.

All our polycarbonate sheets are mounted with sealed anti-dust tape on the top and perforated anti-dust tape on the bottom to allow the sheets to breathe.

Polycarbonate is a tough and hard plastic. All polycarbonate roof sheets from TerrasPro are manufactured by the Makrolon® manufacturer Bayer. All sheets have a thickness of 16 mm and are very durable in combination with the X-structure.

Clear polycarbonate

Sheets of clear polycarbonate allow 70% sunlight and 62% energy to pass through. This makes these sheets an ideal choice if you want as much sunlight as possible under your patio canopy and therefore into your home.

However, the disadvantage is that dirt is more visible on this type of sheet than on others. Condensation is also visible on clear polycarbonate sheets. This is because the sheets are provided with perforated tape on the gutter side, allowing the sheets to breathe. Condensation enters the sheets and dissipates naturally.

Opal polycarbonate

Sheets of opal polycarbonate allow 55% sunlight and 54% energy to pass through. This makes these sheets an ideal choice if you prefer it a little less warm under your patio roof. Moreover, dirt is hardly visible on this roof type.

IQ Relax polycarbonate

Sheets of IQ Relax polycarbonate allow only 47% sunlight and 44% energy to pass through. These sheets are therefore an ideal choice if you prefer it to be less warm under your patio roof, because this roof type offers you the best insulation. Moreover, dirt is hardly visible on this roof type.

Glass roof panels

The TerrasPro glass roofs are made of tempered and laminated glass 8 mm thick, also called safety glass. The sheets are completely transparent, just like ordinary windows in homes.

In technical terms, this is called 4-4-2 glass. 4-4-2 stands for two layers of glass four millimeters thick with two layers of PVB in between. The interlayer of PVB provides extra strength and is also used to make bulletproof glass.

At 980 mm wide, the TerrasPro glass is much wider than that of its competitors. This large span offers you a particularly luxurious look. In fact, these extra-wide panels mean that fewer intermediate beams are needed.

Glass roofs from TerrasPro allow 88% sunlight and 72% energy to pass through. This makes these roofs an ideal choice if you want as much sunlight as possible under your patio cover and, therefore, into your home. However, because you can see well through the glass, you should be aware that dirt will be visible on the glass.
